The Tree of Life II
$1,480.00
Blue Mountains, New South Wales, Australia (2025)
The Tree of Life II; Over three years after capturing the first Tree of Life in 2022, I felt drawn back to this remarkable subject. The Blue Mountains offer some of the darkest skies near Sydney, yet their vast ridgelines make finding the perfect composition a true challenge.
This time, I found the tree rising alone against the Milky Way, framed perfectly by the quiet night. Hours passed in silence beneath the stars, and I was rewarded with a breathtaking display of airglow, painting the sky with soft, ethereal colors that seemed to celebrate the tree’s resilience and presence.
Tree of Life II is more than a photograph. It marks a moment of reflection and transition, capturing the last chapter of one life while awaiting the beginning of a new one, as our family grew to three.
